Several of The Warehouse Gym members compete in local, national and international events.  This page is desiged to keep you updated on these members.  Because The Warehouse Gym is a "team environment" gym, we promote the reaching of each others goals.

 

CONGRATULATIONS TO 2011 TEXAS STRONGEST
FIREFIGHTER KOLE VALLATINI

Kole Vallatini competed in the Metroflex Police, Firefighter & Military Strongman Winter Classic on February 29, 2011.  He placed 2nd over all and walked away with the Texas Strongest Firefighter title.    Kole was also awarded the Brute Strength Award for the fastest truck pull.  Congrats Kole!  

Gym Member Honors Fallen Heros

The Warehouse Gym member Kole Vallatini honors fallen firefighters from 9/11 each year.  What started out as a personal tribute has become much more.  The Galveston Daily News published an article of Kole's yearly memorial.  Thank you for your service to our community, your dedication to your professional and most of all for being such a great example!

The Warehouse Gym hosts Strongman Birthday Party

Warehouse member Dustin turned 11 years old this past week and The Warehouse Gym was the location choice for his party.  Strongman Andy Vincent gave an awesome demonstration and the kids all had a blast being "strongmen" for the day!  Happy Birthday Dustin - thanks for letting us celebrate with you!

Nick Gutierrez placed 2nd in the 82.5 kg (181 lb) division at the 2010 USAPL Men's Nationals on Saturday, June 19.  His lifts were Squat 287.5 kg (633.82lb), Bench Press 197.5 kg (435.41lb) and Deadlift 270 kg (595.24lb) with a final total of 755 kg (1664.5lb).  Men's Nationals was held in Palm Springs California.

providing personal and group training specifically for women. 
She will be holding the women's camp at The Warehouse Gym every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Youth camp will focus on PROPER EXERCISE TECHNIQUE, injury PREVENTION, build solid foundation of STRENGTH, learn PROPER EXERCISE ORDER & PROGRAM DESIGN, develop solid foundation for FUTURE HEALTH & SPORTS PERFORMANCE. 

MISSION:  To help youth develop proper exercise technique that will provide for a solid foundation for strength  and injury prevention in motivating environment with an unconventional style of training.

Camp is reserved for children ages 13 and up.

Great day of lifting for Warehouse Gym Members


Congratulations to The Warehouse Gym members Jason Hehr for 1st place in the Light Weight Division at The Battle on the Bayou; Nate Diaz for 2nd 165's at APF TX Classic in Dallas with 441 squat, 275 bench, 413 deadlift for a total of 1129; and former member Sandy Tepper for hitting his Elite total in the 148's at APF NY Meet with 570 squat, 425 bench and 505 deadlift, total of 1500.

Micajah Driver Claims Strongman Title at LSU Contest


Congratulations to The Warehouse Gym members Micajah Driver!  He placed first in the Louisiana State University Strongman Contest.  An article on his accomplishment was printed in The Houston Chronicle Clear Lake edition.

Abe Harrod Registers 9th Ranked Total

On Saturday, March 20th, Abe Harrod (181) registered a 1,855 pound at the SPF Longhorn Classic in Plano, Texas.  The total puts Harrod, who weighted in at 178 pounds, ninth on the Powerlifiting Watch Lifter Rankings.

Nick Guiterrez Places 2nd at Arnold Sports Festival

Nick Guiterrez competed at the North American Powerlifting Federation Quest Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.  The contest was held as part of the Arnold Sports Festival, an annual event put on by Arnold Schwarzenegger, that highlights various fitness related sports.  Nick placed 2nd in the 181-pound weight class.  He squatted 633, bench-pressed 440, and deadlifted 606, giving him a total of 1,681 pounds.

The Warehouse Gym Challenge

The Warehouse Gym Challenge is a day of competition between members.  The day is designed to push you as an individual, create community among the members, and lets face it, give you bragging rights!

The Warehouse Gym Sponsors a Field Day for Transform Me

On Saturday, April 11th, The Warehouse Gym had the privilege of hosting a Strong Man/Woman Competition for Transform Me/Body by Frances.  Events for the day included Axel Deadlift for max reps, Farmers Walk, Yoke, Odd Object loading, and Sled Pull.  Every competitor that participated deserves recognition as WINNERS for coming out and giving their best effort in each event.  It proved to be a challenge, but one that was over come with determination and hard work.  We would like to extend our thanks to Frances, Shellie and Diya with Transform Me for allowing us to host your event.  Also THANKS to The Warehouse Gym members Andy Vincent and Josh Thigpen for your time and expertise with the strongman events.
